Blending theatre, storytelling and killer moves, spoken word artist Maria Ferguson explores her relationship with the F-word (food) with the help of her first love (dance).Questioning how we all look at size, Fat Girls Don’t Dance takes us in to the world of performance, where three meals a day is up for compromise and skinny sells well.

Sketch and Slam

In the first half of the night we welcome back our quick fire slam and with some great development opportunities attached.

Sign up to slam in our 2 round audience judged slam and automatically get a place on our pre show workshop, where you will have a chance to practice and test out your piece amongst peers and under the wise eyes of Maria herself.  Places limited to slammers only.

The slam winner prize is- a slot on the amazing Bike Shed Theatre Sketch show events on the last Monday of the month, where you will be performing your sketch ideas for shows amongst theatre makers and a live audience.
