Fat Girls Don’t Dance
★★★★★ Spoken Word Show

Blending theatre, storytelling and killer moves, spoken word artist Maria Ferguson explores her relationship with the F-word (food) with the help of her first love (dance).Questioning how we all look at size, Fat Girls Don’t Dance takes us in to the world of performance, where three meals a day is up for compromise and skinny sells well.

NB: There will be cake

Age 16+ ( at parents discretion)

Open Mic
(All welcome)

A 30 minute sharing of words and ideas- we will see where it takes us. 10 spaces available- a partnership with Open Mouth!

All are welcome to our totally acoustic music and poetry night! Join us each month when local (and not so local) songwriters and poets share their lyrical loves. Be experimental! Be brave! Bring something of your own to perform, or something by anyone else you happen to like. If you don’t feel like opening your mouth lend us your ears! Join our community for one night only, drop in from time to time, or come back every month.
