National Writing Day Events

Apples and Snakes loves the message ‘Everyone Has a Story to Tell’ that’s why we’re supporting with National Writing Day 2018.

National Writing Day is an annual celebration of writing designed to inspire people across the UK to get writing.

Apples and Snakes will be hosting Write Ins and celebratory events for the entire week surrounding 2018’s National Writing Day. Keep an eye on the facebook event groups and our twitter feed for some writing prompts in the run up to the Write Ins.

In London on 26 June

The Apples and Snakes HQ team cordially invite you to come and write in our office. We’ve got tea, biscuits and desk space and Aliyah, our producer in the Midlands, will be popping in to offer writing prompts to anyone after some creative gems. There’s limited desk availability so to reserve a spot email fiona@applesandsnakes.org with the subject line ‘Writing Day Desk Space’.  More info here.

In the Midlands on 27 June

Producer in the Midlands, Aliyah is opening up our regional office at Impact HUB Birmingham to invite writers of all ages and levels to come and use the space to write for the day. Prompts and writing activities if needed will be supplied by Poets Place’s Jasmine Gardosi. Prompts will also be available online so follow @ApplesandSnakes or @applesMidlands on Twitter between 10am and 6pm for writing gems.  More info here.

In the North on 27 June

Producer in the North, Kirsten is opening our regional office at ARC Stockton for some drop-in writing – which means she’ll be in ARC’s first floor lounge with some prompts, happy to hang out and write with anyone who fancies it! Kirsten will also post prompts online, so check the Apples and Snakes group discussion or @applesNorth on Twitter between 3pm and 6pm. More info here
