Level UP: Smash the Song

Level UP: Smash the Song

Brought to you by Beatfreeks, Apples and Snakes and Birmingham Repertory Theatre:
Level UP

A one-off, special evening of poetry and music – words and melodies banding together and acting like they own the place.

Featuring Harry And Chris - Remember when you discovered Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake were childhood friends? That’s exactly how Harry and Chris felt when they first crossed paths at school. After playing with each other for 10 years they've decided to pull their fingers out and write a show together. World Poetry Slam champion Harry Baker visits Level UP alongside BFF and jazz musician Chris Read, bringing music, words, love, laughter and more onstage chemistry than a science expo.

'blistering wordplay' ★★★★★ (ThreeWeeks)

Janel Antoneshia - Jamaican born singer|writer. Her style of music hasn't been one consistent sound, however she's hugely inspired by gospel, rhythm and blues, soul and reggae. Janel Antoneshia's overall desire is to continue creating music that's closely connected to the growth of herself and others.

The night is hosted by the phenomenal Alima Rico-Emmanuel.
"Sounds like her voice has been roaming the Earth for a few hundred years."

There will be limited open mics on the door!
