JUMPING INTO A NEW POETIC FORM
with Peter Khan

The Golden Shovel Anthology honors Gwendolyn Brooks, the first Black person to win a Pulitzer Prize, as well as an array of other writers with new work by winners of the T.S. Eliot and National Book Award prizes, alongside slam champions and students.  In this workshop led by Golden Shovel Anthology co-editor and Spoken Word Education Training Programme founder Peter Kahn, participants will look at the work of Ms. Brooks and a range of Golden Shovel poems, and then write (and possibly share) poems of their own following this new form created by National Book Award winner Terrance Hayes.
