We evaluate our activity using both numerical and qualitative measures through an open feedback process that allows those who attend and book our events and participatory programmes to tells us what they think about the work we do and how we have performed.
- 94% of all Bookers felt participants gained more confidence.
- 94% of all Bookers stated that underachievers were challenged or inspired.
- 87% of all Bookers felt the spoken language of Participants had improved.
In addition to these personal development statistics from across our Poetry in Education (PIES) scheme we also have also demonstrated significant community benefits though our work in prisons and with young offenders. For example our SuperRespect project in Manchester reduced reports of Criminal Damage by 44% over the length of the project: (official police statistic)
We are proud of our record in delivery fun, high quality spoken word events that deliver real benefits to attenders and bookers alike. Here is some of the feedback we have recieved about our programmes:
"It was fascinating to watch the students engaged and succeeding beyond their usual level of achievement" Wey Valley School
"I really enjoyed this, it made me think about poetry in a completely different way, how you can start from the begining with just a few words and create a fantastic poem" Participant.
"I discovered that I am better/more creative than I thought and I was less anxious about taking part" Teacher
"The students were shown their own potential" The Cotteslow School
