Deranged Poetesses: Crones

Saturday 20 October | ARC Stockton

If you haven’t been before, firstly, where have you been? But also, Deranged Poetesses is an event, where artists respond to a theme using poetry, performance, presentation, and strictly timed visual slides. Each performance is 13 minutes long, for crones we have six amazing women and non-binary performers all talking about aspects of crone-hood. There are various Pay What You Decide events happening throughout the day. Head to ARC Stockton’s website to reserve tickets.

The afternoon before the event we have free activities for women/non-binary poets and their friends:

Bold, Loud, Present @ 2pm
Join actor, director and multiple-slam-winning poet Hannah Davies for a one-off masterclass on how to make yourself heard in the toughest crowds. Free but booking essential.

Deranged Poetesses : Get Together @ 5.30pm
A free social event in Number 60 Bistro at ARC. Come along and mingle.

Deranged Poetesses: Crones @ 7pm
We’ve heard from the Maidens, and from the Mothers, so now of course we must give the stage to the Crones! For the third and final Deranged Poetesses of 2018, we welcome six women poets from across the North to share their unique approaches to crone-hood. There’ll be performances from Joy France, Polly Atkin, Izzy Britain, Carmen Marcus, Zoe Murtagh and Julie Easley.
