Scratch Tyne

Apples and Snakes’ longest-running artist development programme in the North-East.

From beginners looking for a confidence boost before their first open mic night, to experienced performers asking for honest feedback as they experiment with new work, Scratch Tyne is open to everyone.

Co-hosted by Sky Hawkins and Rowan McCabe, the format is simple: warm up together, explore a new performance technique together, then share work and give helpful feedback.

Want to set up your own scratch night? Here’s free guide of tips and exercises from Scratch Tyne founder and North Producer, Kirsten. For more information, please email kirsten@applesandsnakes.org.

Please note:

For July’s Scratch Tyne we’ll be taking a workshop trip, keep an eye out for details closer to the time…

We’ll be taking a summer break in August 2019 but will return in September at a new venue: Space Six.
