The Writing Room is Apples and Snakes’ foremost skills development programme for writers aged 18-25 – and applications are now open for 2021.

Our goal with this free programme is to provide a creative, nurturing and challenging training environment for emerging poets.

Over the course of six workshops, participants will improve their writing, develop their craft and hone their skills – this year, under the guidance of international poet, performer and facilitator Deanna Rodger.

You must be available to attend all workshops on:
Session 1: 17th January 2021
Session 2: 24th January 2021
Session 3: 31st January 2021
Session 4: 7th February 2021
Session 5: 14th February 2021
Session 6: 21st February 2021

All sessions will run from 10.30am-12pm on Zoom.

Participants will also be required to be available to record their final pieces before 28 February 2021.

“At worst you’ll gain a supportive network of like-minded young creatives, at best you’ll grow, share and develop alongside friends.”
