A monthly spoken word night for unheard and under-represented voices in Teesside.

DiVerse features special guests and open mic performers who are womxn, LGBTQIA+, visibly and invisibly disabled, refugee and artists of colour.

Headline features:

NABEELA AHMED
Nabeela is a writer, poet, spoken word artist, storyteller and amateur photographer. She writes Romantic Fiction and has published one short novella, Despite Our Differences.

ALEX ASHER
Alex is a performance poet from West Yorkshire. Performing at venues across Yorkshire, he talks about topical issues such as education and politics as well as the more personal subjects of mental health and being transgender.

Guest poet: LOTTIE COLEY
Lottie is an MA English Studies student at Teesside University. A devout feminist, Lottie’s writing focuses on gender and LGBT issues through the lens of mythology.
