Winner of the Great Gateshead Slam 2018, Donald Jenkins is a performance poet, writer, and host and organiser of Born Lippy. His high octane poetry draws upon his life as an activist, teacher and Northerner as well as his incessant love of rave music. Donald will be performing a long poem exploring his experience of growing up in the 1980’s with lesbian parents.
With work rooted in word-witchery and the working class, Louise is exploring the synergy between poetry and movement in a way that makes the ugly beautiful and the mundane fantastical. Winner of
BBC Radio 3 ‘New Voices’ and European Slam Finalist, Louise is excited to share her new genre-distorting, darkly humorous dystopian book The Lolitas.
