Forked: Farewell Party

All events are postponed until further notice. Please read our statement for more information.

Join us for our Forked swan song event featuring our first (and last) open mic, some much loved returning favourites, and top-notch currently touring performers!

Open mic: Charlotte Gisborne, Peter Roe, James Turner, Julian Isaacs, Emily Burns, McMc Spoken, Claudia Jefferies, and Katy Else.

Featured performers:

Rosin’s Brother
Affectionately known on the South West poetry circuit as The Pin Man. Lose yourself and return to reality a changed person. You will laugh (a lot), cringe, and cry!

Pete the Temp
Multiple poetry slam champion, Festival favourite and spoken word educator, Pete the Temp is a loop station artist, comic and spoken word performer with an activist edge. Published by Burning Eye and currently touring Homer to Hip Hop.

Clive Birnie
Poet-artist-printmaker, Clive Birnie finds inspiration at a place where poetry and art collide. His latest book Palimpsest explores a near future where mundane meets magical, part of Verve Poetry Press’s experimental pamphlet series.

Rachel Pantechnicon
Former Glastonbury Festival Slam Champion, Rachel has read her poetry on BBC Radio 1, 3 and 4, and is still waiting for BBC Radio 2 to call. Rachel is the author of the story-books about Cheesegrater Leg-Iron Lion, and the most famous resident of Motspur Park since Jacko in ‘Brush Strokes’.

Mama Tokus
We are also super excited to welcome back the one and only soulful jazz, rhythm ’n’ blues and gospel-inspired Mama T! Historically the longest running host of Forked, Mama Tokus brings back her cheeky humour and sassy style for a unique never-before-seen musical set.

Hosted by the weird and wonderful Ladies of Pleasure!
