Spoken word artists, poetry films and exceptionally entertaining cabaret join forces to explore the theme of LOVE in all its guises.

Delighted to announce our new resident host is the remarkable Marion Clare – poet, performer and founder of Versify. She will be an outstanding ambassador for Forked bringing a fun friendly approach to the Forked stage and with a great knowledge of spoken word in Plymouth. Beth Calverley
Queen of nourishing words and founder of the Poetry Machine, Beth finds words for the unspoken, telling true stories of resilience and hope. Through pin-point imagery, she draws her listeners into a world of dreaming waves, rural memories and smiling witchcraft. Beth was the inaugural Gloucester Regional Roundhouse Slam Winner and went on to compete in the Roundhouse Final 2018.

London Born, Barbadian raised, Birdspeed’s unique style has been captivating and impressing audiences across England, New York and Philadelphia. Birdspeed wrote, recorded and filmed a poem a day for British Black History Month and will be competing in the finals for Hammer and Tongue and the New York slam championships.

Poets and performers Chris White and T.S Idiot (Tom Stockley) will be sharing the stage for an L.O.V.E themed poetry exchange, poems about loving ducks are expected.
