Full Moon: GOBS Collective Showcase

Join GOBS Collective for an evening of full-moon-inspired poetry performances punctuated by the incredible Randolph Matthews.

GOBS have been in residency at Nonsuch Studios for the past few months, working together with Lead Writers Ioney Smallhorne and Bridie Squires, as well as a host of incredible artists – including Apples and Snakes’ John Berkavitch – to produce a showcase of poetic talent.

Randolph Matthews’ compositions and vocal artistry span two decades, with solo and collaborative performances and writing. He has worked with artists from the classical jazz and contemporary art scenes. Alongside album releases, Randolph’s passion for multidisciplinary art forms has led to him presenting his work in exhibitions in London and internationally for the National Gallery, Greenwich Maritime, British Museum, BBC. He has toured extensively throughout his career across Europe, Central Africa and America collaborating with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Richard Bona, and international performer, choreographer Alesandra Seutin.

About GOBS Collective

GOBS Collective host poetry events and education programmes. Founded by Bridie Squires in 2020, the group formed through two workshop series co-produced with Ioney Smallhorne; over 40 Nottingham artists created poetry films, digital zines and live performances alongside Debris Stevenson and Casey Bailey. The group currently co-host spoken-word night SPRAYBOX and are in residence at Nonsuch Studios. GOBS is supported by Curated & Created by Nottingham Trent University, Apples and Snakes, Makermet and LeftLion Magazine.
