Apples and Snakes | Meditations with Kat François

This International Women’s Day, Apples and Snakes are excited to team up with performance artist, playwright and World Slam Champion Kat François to deliver a workshop focused on wellbeing and expression.
First, Kat will guide participants in a mindfulness meditation exercise, and then inspire and encourage with writing exercises designed to get whatever is in your head onto the page.
This session will be on zoom but there is no requirement to turn on your camera or sound if you do not wish to.
- Feel free to engage at a level that is comfortable for you.
- The event will start at 7.30pm, we will open the room at 7.20pm.
- This workshop is free for women.
- It is limited to a capacity of 30 and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Kat François is a performance artist, educator, broadcaster, playwright and director. The first person to win a televised poetry slam in the UK, a year later she won the World Slam Championships.
Kat has worked with young people for many years, as a youth worker, PHSE Facilitator, also teaching dance, drama, poetry and performance skills. She is an established playwright and director of youth theatre, devising and directing plays for theatres including Theatre Royal Stratford East, Roundhouse Camden, Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
Kat has a degree in dance, and is a qualified Fitness Personal & Group Instructor and has been running online fitness & well being classes.
