Poetry Retreat | Lyra

A one-day event for poets at all stages to refresh, reboot and connect. The retreat offers creative workshops, discussions, mentoring and practical advice to re-energise your practice, soothe your soul and leave you with a new spring in your step. You can book a place in advance for free and see a full list of activities on Lyra’s website. Sessions led by Deanna Rodger, Rebecca Tantony, Bohdan Piasecki and Dom Coyote.

On the day, you will be able to drop in to any of the activities, whether it’s just one of them or all of them. Pre-book your free ticket in advance, or arrive early to avoid disappointment. The cafe downstairs will be open throughout the day.

Update: this event has now sold out – however as the sessions run as drop-ins for capacity, we recommend you come along and see if there are spaces available on the day.

PROGRAMME:

Rejuvenate Creative Writing and Yoga 10:00 – 11.30am. Lead by Rebecca Tantony

A mixed practice session combining Yoga and Meditation, in which the body is used as a pathway to our internal force, followed by creative writing aimed at bringing fear into the light and then moving through it.

Unite the body and mind so as to access greater expression and confidence. Here, we enter a space where possibility becomes limitless and through the emotional, physical and mental, we are able to rejuvenate the senses and enter the magic of creation.
