The search for the best emerging UK spoken word talent continues!
BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network and BBC Contains Strong Language are working together with regional poetry organisations, including Apples and Snakes, Young Identity, and Neu! Reekie!, to find the best emerging spoken word talent the UK has to offer. Now is your chance to experience these exciting voices – join us for the Words First Digital Showcases!
Apples and Snakes’ Words First participants have been working with acclaimed spoken word poets and performers, Deanna Rodger, Adam Kammerling, Bohdan Piasecki, Paula Varjack, Hannah Silva, and Yomi Ṣode, to hone their writing skills and develop their performance craft.
