I am an author, spoken word poet and musician who has practiced my craft professionally for over fifteen years. My work has featured on BBC Radio 4, The World Service and Newsnight. As well as completing a masters degree in Creative Writing, I have performed and delivered workshops in 12 countries, and my first book of poetry, ‘Numbered Boxes’ was published by Burning Eye Books in 2016. In 2019, I published a non-fiction book on the craft, science and history of live literature – ‘Stage Invasion’ (Out-Spoken Press). This book has been described as ‘a fantastic piece of work’ (Michael Rosen), and ‘the book we have all been waiting for’ (Ian McMillan, BBC Radio 3).
