Sky Arts is looking for spoken word enthusiasts to be part of the live audience for a BAFTA-award winning show hosted by Benjamin Zephaniah.

A celebration of spoken word, Life & Rhymes sees some of the country’s leading spoken word performers light-up the mic with their lyrical creativity.

Life & Rhymes is the first show of its kind in the UK, solely dedicated to celebrating the very best poetry and spoken word talent the UK has to offer.

Host, legendary poet Professor Benjamin Zephaniah, will introduce a set of new poets who perform a piece of their own work, along with a performance from Benjamin himself.

There’ll also be a chance for you to take to the mic! Four audience members will be selected at random for a 60-second open mic poetry performance.

Open mic

To be considered for the open mic please complete the entry form, here, as well as booking a ticket on Eventbrite through the link above. Limited open mic slots are available per night, and will be picked at random by Prof Benjamin Zephaniah just before filming starts.
