Irina Richards and Rue Gumbochuma are Artists in Residence at Downham Library.
Irina is a comic artist/illustrator. She is a member of Sweatdrop Studios, the UK’s first and best-known original manga publisher. Irina’s work includes her original title, Chemical Blue, and an instructional book, Creating Manga Characters. Irina is also an experienced art educator; she has led art workshops at schools, libraries, festivals and events. Irina is enthusiastic and passionate about all things comics and manga, and loves introducing audiences to this dynamic and versatile art form.
