We are registered on the Information Commissioner’s Office Data Protection Register, and are the Data Controller for the personal data that we hold and process.
We collect your personal data when you sign up to receive our e-newsletters, if you have registered your interest in our events and activities, or if you participate in our activities, workshops etc.
We only collect the information that’s necessary to carry out our business, and provide you with the information you’ve chosen to receive. Any information you share with us enables us to provide you with a more personalised experience.
Apples and Snakes does not share personal data with any other organisations.
We hold your data securely on our systems, and use the following companies to process data on our behalf.

- Eventbrite for ticketing specific events, read their privacy policy here
- AirTable for collecting data for registering to receive events and activities info, and for Equality and Diversity monitoring, read their privacy policy here
You can stop receiving email newsletters from Apples and Snakes at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the top of – or in the footer of – the email, and we will delete your data and stop contacting you.
We will not store your credit or debit card details and any payments will be taken on a per-transaction basis, as indicated by the card holder when booking online with Eventbrite or via the donations area of our website – via JustGiving. We are not responsible for our partners external booking systems.
We currently collect minimal data through Google Analytics. This is for the purposes of using Google Ads – specifically through Google Grants. Google will store this information. Google’s privacy policy is available here.
We also use Fathom to collect anonymous data to better understand our user’s behaviour on our website. Specifically, we look at behaviours such as page visits, device type and on page clicks. We do not collect personal or identifiable data and use this for internal monitoring purposes only. Fathom’s privacy policy is available here.
Third party cookies
Our website uses third-party tools, examples of third-party cookie usage are: YouTube for embedded videos, YouTube may use cookies to check if you are logged in to their website so you can ‘Like’ a video. These third-parties may also be using cookies to collect anonymous performance analytics like us.
We will never work with a third party that collects unnecessary data or stores data in an unsecure manner. Our website may contain links to external websites outside of Apples and Snakes, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
