Online Poetry Group

Hackney Libraries Online Poetry group meets every week on Thursday at 6pm to read and discuss a range of the latest poetry in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Poems are emailed to members before the session, so you need bring nothing but yourself. There is always the opportunity for members to share their own work. Current members range from published poets to complete beginners. Very friendly and relaxed, and there is no need to have your camera on, or even say anything, if you don't feel like it. We usually read a small selection from a single collection, but often there are special celebration editions where the poems are based around a theme, for instance our most recent special edition for South Asian Heritage Month.
