Word-Benders QTBPOC Poetry Workshops

Calling all QTBPOC! Join Gayathiri Kamalakanthan for WORD-BENDERS on Wednesday 12th March, 6-7.30pm (GMT) for a poetry workshop centering the work of trans and queer poets of colour.

This session will be a dedicated space for queer Black people and people of colour. If you’re new to WORD-BENDERS here’s our vibe:

✨ In the workshop, we read/ reflect on / discuss 2-3 poems, then do some gentle free-writing based on our discussion.

✨ The Zoom will be a relaxed space.

About the facilitator: Gayathiri (they/them) is a Tamil poet and performer. They won the Disabled Poets Prize 2024 and they’re an alum of the Southbank New Poets Collective. Their novel-in-verse, Bad Queer, is forthcoming with Faber. Find them at gayathiri.co.uk.
