Creating Your Stage Presence for 13 – 18 year olds
This is part of the Metal Masterclass Series. So, maybe you’ve been writing your own poetry and want to share it on stage, on Insta or Youtube – but you haven’t yet worked out your ‘style’. This workshop with Kat Francois will get you trying different performance styles, mic skills and working on that stage presence.
The workshop starts at 10.30am with a break at 12.30 -1.30pm, finishing at 3.30pm

Kat Francois: Kat is a performance artist, poet, actor, playwright, Director, comedian and youth workshop facilitator. She was the first person to win a televised poetry slam in the UK, on BBC3 in 2004 and a year later she went on to win the World Slam Poetry Championships in Rotterdam. Kat has performed on radio and television including Blue Peter and the Big Poetry Slam, BBC Breakfast and featured on Sky1 in 2016 on ‘Whats Up’ As a playwright, Kat has written and performed two solo plays, SEVEN TIMES ME, RAISING LAZARUS, and two comedy shows, KATS GO YOUR TONGUE and THE KAT FRANCOIS COMEDY SHOW, which received a 5-star review at the Camden Fringe Festival.
