Apples and Snakes were at UnderOne Festival in July as a supporting partner, the aim of the festival was to inspire creativity and enhance people’s well-being during the event.

Kat François was the poet-in-residence during the festival, she performed throughout the weekend and also ran a Journalling workshop on the Sunday of the Festival.

We also programmed performances from TS Eliot Prize-winning poet Joelle Taylor, emerging poets Bhumika Billa and Gafar Fashola. Plus Apples and Snakes Artistic Director, Lisa Mead and Chair of our Board, Amerah Saleh spoke on several different discussion panels during the 2 day event.

You can watch Kat’s Post- festival manifesto poems called It’s Time below:

With hundreds of artists and creatives from around the globe gathering together to reaffirm their dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion it was a successful and enlightening weekend.
