In these extraordinary times, we’re trying something new and bringing some of the UK’s leading spoken word poets together online to deliver top line-ups right to your home.
Through Apples and Snakes @ Home we’re exploring new ways to digitally connect artists with each other and with our audiences, nationally and across the globe. It’s vital to continue supporting artists and the wider spoken word community through this time of change, producing new work and pushing the boundaries of what poetry is and can be.
Click the ‘Go to live stream’ button to the right and join us over on the Apples and Snakes YouTube channel for an hour of live streamed poetry and conversation in partnership with the RSC, featuring:

Spoken word has the power to bring people together in the best and worst of times. As we find ourselves in a period of global uncertainty, distanced physically from one another, the need to connect has never felt more important. Time to experience Apples and Snakes @ Home!
This episode of Apples and Snakes @ Home is produced in partnership with the RSC, giving a new home to Bright Smoke our regular monthly poetry night at RSC’s The Other Place.
